John Riggs
The user is in the /etc/passwd file. I uncommented out the passwd, shadow
and group files in radiusd.conf. Is there away to check to see if the
program is reading the passwd file.

  The user wasn't found in /etc/passwd?  Why would he be able to
authenticate?
